Hunley Volunteer Call: Join Us!

We are now recruiting volunteers to help with the historic Hunley Project.  All it takes is a love of the subject matter and an engaging personality. Right now, we have many volunteer opportunities available with positions including docents, greeters/membership representatives and gift shop support.  You must pass a background check and commit to at least one shift a month since training is involved.

Don’t miss out on this unique and exciting opportunity to be an active participant in the Hunley Project.

Email us at info@hunley.org to learn more!

Want to be a Hunley Volunteer?

Here are a few questions you should consider:

  • Do you have time to devote to a worthy cause?
  • Do you enjoy meeting people from around the world?
  • Are you interested in history?
  • Are you fascinated by the story of the Hunley?
  • Would you like to learn more and to share that knowledge with others?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, the Hunley Project needs you.  Our weekend tours are conducted by a group of volunteers who are dedicated to the timeless story of the Hunley’s journey.  They have been instrumental in raising funds for the Project as well as educating the public about the submarine’s fascinating history.
